Byram Healthcare's Medical Supply Program
Our program supports Medicare, Private Insurance and Medicaid supply needs. Our dedicated team will partner with your agency to develop a quality and cost effective program for all your patients
Medical Supply Management that is efficient, affordable and convenient for your agency and patients.
- We offer expertise on controlling costs, while ensuring the products offered support positive clinical outcomes, both critical to episode management under PDGM. Our Patient Direct Ordering program is proven to reduce inventory costs, promote nursing efficiencies and decrease operating expenses for home health agencies.
- Patient-Specific Reporting captures all supply costs, eliminating inventory leakage and lost revenue. As an added efficiency, Byram integrates with many EMR’s.
- As billing and reimbursement experts, Byram’s third party billing capabilities significantly reduce an agency's medical supply expense. With managed care contracts that cover 80% of US lives, our reimbursement experts can help your patients’ access medical supplies utilizing their health insurance benefits.
When a patient is managed within a Medicare PPS episode under the Patient-Driven Groupings Model, Byram Healthcare offers cost containment programs to support quality care and expense reduction.
Formulary Management Programs
Byram Healthcare understands third party coverage limitations and usage guidelines, so that you can access high quality products that both control supply costs while providing consistent quality outcomes across the payor spectrum. We will provide consultation to develop a custom, cost effective formulary, that applies to all payors, while addressing the financial and clinical needs of your patients. Our formulary module offers “point of order” authorization, to drive accountability and adherence.

Supply Utilization Management
Byram’s proprietary Utilization Management module proactively monitors and controls supply usage to your agency’s practice standards. Each agency sets their own 15 or 30 day “par values” based on their clinical protocols. Order amounts exceeding par value require management approval. A real-time authorization request is automatically sent to agency management for review. The program allows for approved overages to ship with the original order, and par values that are patient specific. By automating supply utilization, the program maximizes savings and efficiencies without sacrificing quality care. The program typically reduces supply expenditures by 10% to 20%.
Nurse Supply Replenishment Program
Our comprehensive nurse replenishment program allows an agency to eliminate the inherent overhead and inefficiencies of managing an onsite supply closet, while initiating advanced wound care at the start of care. Byram will work alongside your agency to build a customized nurse kit that meets your needs. As clinicians utilize kit supplies in the field, they will place replenishment orders, which will be batched and shipped according to agency protocol. Byram also offers a ship to nurse’s home program. Byram captures all supply cost by patient for agency reporting and billing purposes.

Transitions of Care
Clinicians no longer need to stockpile for their patients. Our advanced third party billing capabilities, and rapid turnaround, provides seamless coordination for patients requiring supplies after discharge. Byram Healthcare ensures your patient’s transition from homecare is seamless. By offering comprehensive wound, ostomy, and continence care programs along with unmatched direct insurance billing expertise, Byram is able to continue caring for your patient while assisting the agency with discharge requirements.
